With growing concerns around COVID-19 (“coronavirus”) I wanted to provide you with an update on our company’s policy. The health and safety of everyone working at Bold Canine, our distributors, retailers and our customers and their pets is a top priority, as well as ensuring we keep extra inventory on hand in the unlikely event of a business interruption.
Here are some of the steps we have taken:
- We are having ongoing meetings with the staff about COVID 19, providing constant education and ministry of health updates, ensuring proper hand washing techniques and posting additional signs in washrooms and high traffic areas to remind of proper hand sanitizing practices.
- We have equipped our team with protective wear, including masks and face shields.
- We have constructed plexi glass dividers on our packaging line to protect each employee
- We are separating the 2 shifts, a full sanitation of the plant happens twice a day before the start of each shift, with no cross contamination between shifts.
- Our supervisors are hyper vigilant ensuring staff are using good hygiene techniques
- We have installed additional hand sanitizers around the plant and the office
- The company employment policy is, for any employee who feels ill to stay home. Our hourly staff will be wage protected and will not be penalized financially if they need to stay home. Their job is protected.
- We have significantly increased our inventory volumes on raw materials and packaging materials on hand
- We have received many inquiries from retailers who wish to increase their stock levels as a precaution. We are well prepared for this! Rest assured, we have the inventory to support this.
- We are working closely with our distributing partners to ensure they are well stocked.
- Until further notice, no visitors will be allowed in our building, with the exception of those deemed essential for the operation of the business
